WHO IS JESUS CHRIST
THE MESSIAH

There are many people are confused about Jesus Christ, who is he?, they can see him as a weak man, praying, eat and drink….etc, others say is he God. Apostle Peter said in his first epistle chapter 3:16 "As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their destruction. Also they ask: if he is God why he did not ask the people to worship him. The answer is in the verse in:

1 Coronthians 2: 8
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

And I will start by what the Quran say about him:

Quran describes God "Allah" as follows:

Surah 2: 255
Allah! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He ˹fully˺ knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge—except what He wills ˹to reveal˺. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest.

From this verse, we understand that, the Lord God IS UNLIMITED.

Surah 25:59
He is the One Who created the heavens and the earth and everything in between in six Days, then established Himself on the Throne. ˹He is˺ the Most Compassionate! Ask ˹none other than˺ the All-Knowledgeable about Himself.

From this verse, we understand that, The Lord God can LIMIT HIMSELF to sit on the throne

Surah 68:42
Beware of the Day the Shin of Allah will be bared, and the wicked will be asked to prostrate, but they will not be able to do so,

From this verse, we understand that, He appears in THE FORM OF MAN

Surah 3: 45
Remember when the angels proclaimed, "O Mary! Allah gives you good news of a Word from Him, his name will be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary; honoured in this world and the Hereafter, and he will be one of those nearest ˹to Allah˺. And he will speak to people in ˹his˺ infancy and adulthood and will be one of the righteous."

This verse shows that The Word of God is a person exists, as it is written for a MASCULINE

Surah 4: 171
O People of the Book! Do not go to extremes regarding your faith; say nothing about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of Allah and the fulfilment of His Word through Mary and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers and do not say, "Trinity." Stop!—for your own good. Allah is only One God. Glory be to Him! He is far above having a son! To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And Allah is sufficient as a Trustee of Affairs.

In this verse, His Word comes as feminine (in Arabic), and the word expresses the nature of the speaker.

This is what the Gospel declare in the epistle to Hebrews 1:3

"Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power."

Surah 12:87
O my sons! Go and search ˹diligently˺ for Joseph and his brother. And do not lose hope in the mercy of Allah, for no one loses hope in Allah's mercy except those with no faith."

It is very disappointment and shocking that the translator replaced "The Spirit Of God" by "the mercy of Allah" and "The Spirit of God" By "Allah's mercy" in the previous verse.

Surah 15:29
So when I have fashioned him and had a spirit of My Own breathed into him, fall down in prostration to him."

Also, the right literal translation of "a spirit of My Own breathed into him"

breathed into him" is "I breathed in him from My Spirit"

Surah 21:91
And ˹remember˺ the one who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her through Our angel, ˹Gabriel˺ making her and her son a sign for all peoples.

Also the literal translation of "Our angle" is "Our Spirit". And suppose this translation is correct, this means the angle Gabriel became associate with God in creation and this is impossible.

The Bible have mentioned the creation of Mankind as shown in the following two verses:

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

IT IS VERY OBVIOUS THAT THE ALMIGHTY GOD WHO IS "GOD, HIS WORD & HIS SPIRIT" CREATED THE HUMAN BEING IN HIS OWN IMAGE "BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT."

Also as God is unlimited and we are limited, it is impossible to the limited to comprehend the unlimited. But we should accept what He revealed in His Holy books about Himself. Also when we read God's Books, automatically we accept Him as a person (Man) speaks as in the event when God order Satan to bow to Adam and he rejected, and Adam and Satan saw God in this event, in what form?. Definitely in form of Man.

How the Bible describes The Lord God

1 Timothy 1:17
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Timothy 6:15-16
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

1 Timothy 2: 5-6
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Romans 11:32-36
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!. For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?. Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

When Moses was in the wilderness and saw the bush in flames and the bush did not burned. He asked God about His Name as in:

Exodus 3:12
" And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you."

From the past paragraph, no one can name himself I AM, because I AM means the self existing one with God's Characteristics. But Jesus when He was on earth claims that He is "I AM" as in:

John 6:35
"I am the bread of life"

John 8:12.
"I am the light of the world"

John 10:11
"I am the good shepherd"

John 10:9
"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."

John 11:26.
"I am the resurrection, and the life:" he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live"

John 14:6
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me"

Revelation 1:8
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."

Revelation 1:17
" I am the first and the last:"

Also in many occasions He declared that He is The "I AM" as in:

John 10: 23-33
And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? he Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

John 8:56-59
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Mathew 14:24-33
"But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; (In Arabic I AM and should said it is I: Jesus) be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, (if you are I AM) bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God."

1 Timothy 3:16
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

From the previous study, we can say that Jesus Christ is:

THE INVISIBLE GOD MANIFESTED IN THE FLESH

JESUS CHRIST NOT A MAN BECAME GOD, NOT AT ALL.

HE IS 100% GOD and 100% MAN.

When a woman with a child gives birth, the child who comes out from her called her son, but this son completely separated from her. But when God sent His Word (ENTITY, BEING) to the world to be borne from the virgin Mary, He did not completely separated from GOD but still in HIM as It is written in John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

AS A MAN, Jesus Christ, was born from the virgin Mary, grew from child till became man, ate, drank, worked to earn his living, get tired, went to the bathroom, slept, wept, rejoiced, taught, doing his father will, suffer persecution ….etc, lived and died and resurrected from death. He lived setting a complete example for us to follow as the perfect man who pleased God. AS GOD, He raised the dead by his own word, healed all kinds of diseases, he fed multitudes from few fishes and few breads, he created eyes for the blind….etc. He did all the works of the

ALL THE GODHEAD DO.

THE FALL OF MANKIND AS IN BOOK OF GENESIS CHAPTER 3

1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life.

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

20 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

23 herefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

This event shows how much God hate disobedience and sin. God utterly respect man's freedom and choices. Adam and Eve were pure and innocents. When they mistrusted God and ate from the tree, sin entered and corrupted them. They saw themselves naked not like before and ashamed to meet God and hide themselves. but God found them and their excuses were not accepted and heard God's judgement. One sin not forgiven is good enough to cast out anyone from His presence. God's unchangeable laws as in

Hezkial 18:4
"the soul that sinneth, it shall die."

Hebrews 9:20
"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission".

The Merciful Compassionate God did not want to leave them naked as the fig leaves decayed and not good enough to cover them (this symbolically to our works which we do to be acceptable to be in God's presence). God slaughter an animal (shed its blood) and made apron from its skin and dressed them to cover them in order that they cannot be ashamed in God's presence.

Likewise we can be restored to God by the one eternal sacrifice of our Saviour Jesus Christ which had been done on the cross. And by believing in its sufficiency to blot away all our sins and repent of our sins, we will be accepted to God and we can stay in His presence, we can be confident that we will be in Heaven with Him at the end of our lives and all eternity.
